Rite of Passage Child of forest

By audrey 10/05/2019	I bought this game back in 2013 and just re-downloaded it to play. I'm not sure if I'm having trouble because of that or something else. I'm stuck at the edge of the forest. I have the map and it popped up when I entered the path but I can't see any symbols anywhere. HELP!!
